RIVIERA PRAISES STAFF FOR THEIR EFFORTS AT SANCTUARY COVE INTERNATIONAL BOAT SHOW
09.06.2010

Riviera, Australia’s most awarded pleasure boat builder commended the efforts and commitment of its entire workforce during the 2010 Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show by treating them to a spit roast lunch yesterday.

About 300 staff celebrated at the company’s Coomera manufacturing facility after taking a tour of the newly released 43 Open Flybridge and receiving an update briefing from the company’s Chief Executive Officer on the business’s recent successes at the boat show.

Riviera CEO John Anderson said so many staff had given their all in the lead-up to the show -finishing boats, completing the new 43 Open Flybridge and physically preparing the company’s massive 12 boat display that their efforts deserved special recognition.

“A huge amount of work goes into a boat show display long before the show even opens especially when you have a new model to release. More than 1,400 man hours were involved in preparing boats and building our display at Sanctuary Cove this year. This does not include the time that so many staff gave voluntarily to man the stand over the weekend of the show. It’s a great testament to the Riviera spirit and commitment by our loyal staff that a team effort like this can result in such a positive and strong outcome.

“Riviera sold 19 new boats with a total value of over $20 million at this year’s Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show including nine of the new 43 Open Flybridge. We were all excited with the potential of the 43 as she was coming together in the development phase, but to receive such an overwhelming and resounding approval from the market affirmed our pre-show excitement. Indeed in the two weeks following the show, a further three 43s have been contracted.

“I would like to publicly thank and commend all of our staff for making the 2010 show the total success that it has been and we are now eagerly looking forward to the Sydney International Boat Show that starts next month on July 29,” Mr Anderson said.
