Melbourne boaters, Docklands residents and visitors will be treated to a movie experience reminiscent of a 1960s drive-in when a giant floating screen and fresh popcorn bring the magic of the movies to Waterfront City Marina from Friday, 19th June. A first for Melbourne, the floating cinema will offer visiting vessels a unique opportunity to enjoy one of eight movies sessions across two weekends. Movies will be shown on a huge 10m x 6m screen, set on the water in Victoria Harbour, with a simulcast soundtrack on 88.9FM. Two additional screens will cater for visitors who would prefer to bring a chair and watch landside.
The berthing fee for this event is $35 and bookings are essential. If you haven't stayed with us before, your fee will include the movie presentations, overnight berthing, access to marina lounge, showers and toilets with free power and water to your vessel.
