Strong Support for Riviera at Sydney International Boat Show
Australia’s largest luxury boat builder reported strong support throughout the 2008 Sydney International Boat Show in August.
The more than 4,000 square metre on-water display by Riviera and its R Marine retail network, included 22 boats – 14 Rivieras, five Princess motor yachts and three Grand Banks models.
Riviera CEO John Anderson said the company had achieved sales across its entire range of Open and Enclosed Flybridge, Offshore Express and Sport Yachts. A total of 25 boats were sold.
"Our new models gained strong interest," he said. "We are very excited about the launch of the 43 Offshore Express model. We received a number of advance orders and continued with sales during the Show. Interest in our new flagship 70 was intense and we are undertaking sea trials with a number of clients over the next few weeks. The company had orders for five of these magnificent new boats even before the first was launched."
Mr Anderson said that interest in all new models, from the 38 Open Flybridge, 61 Enclosed Flybridge, the 51 Series II to the 41 restyled accommodation model, was strong. He said the trend toward interest in larger boats continued at the Sydney show.
Good weather throughout the show brought eager crowds and long queues to view the Riviera 70.
